Following the updated JCVI statement, the Covid-19 vaccination spring booster campaign has been confirmed, and will run from 17 April – 30 June 2023 with care home provision starting from 3 April.

Those eligible include:

– Adults aged 75 years and over
– Residents in a care home for older adults
– Individuals aged 5 years and over who are immunosuppressed

This includes those who turn 75 years old by 30 June 2023 who will be eligible for a vaccination at any point in the campaign. Those who are admitted to an older adult care home or become immunosuppressed by 30 June should be considered eligible as well. We will also be offering first and second doses for patients during this time.

As with previous phases, we’ll initially prioritise booked appointments and offer walk-in slots as soon as possible in addition to community pop up clinics. Information will continue to be updated and available on the ABC website.
